Secrets of the Duat


Khemsar's second creation was the Duat. Unlike the furious Hek-Urun, Pharaoh forged this spirit from the souls of warriors who were pure in heart. With his help, the Pharaoh established trade relations, carried cargo and delivered messages. When the Hans River flooded an entire province, it was the Duat that spread healing herbs and bread to the victims, saving thousands of lives.
 
But Khemsaru was not only a wise ruler, but also a cunning one. He used the Duat in order to poison his enemies in neighboring states. "It is better to strike a stealthy blow than to arrange a massacre," the pharaoh believed.
 
With the death of Khemsaru, the Duat lost its meaning. First he wandered through the desert, and then carved a sarcophagus and disappeared inside, as if in a forgotten tomb. The sands of centuries have swallowed him up, but legends say that if you dig up a stone tomb and pronounce the true name of the spirit, he will come to light again.…
