Who is Aulelei?

The red stone Plateau is an extremely harsh place full of lizards, shushpans and other monsters. But even if you are a strong warrior and are not afraid of monsters, then you should beware of sandstorms, because of which you can easily lose your way. However, if you are lucky, the spirit of this place will show you the way.
 
According to legend, a merchant named Hunk Reinkord once lived in Ericuria a long time ago. He wanted to find the perfect route through the Red Stone Plateau that would allow him to bypass places with monsters. But as soon as the merchant moved away from the nearest settlement, a strong sandstorm arose.
 
The merchant, along with the cargo, remained in place, fearing that he would fall into the clutches of the shushpans. He hoped to wait out the storm, but it did not subside. And when Khank was almost desperate, aulelei came to him. The spirit took over the merchant's cargo and led him through the desert, showing him the perfect route.
 
No one has seen Aulelei since. But some travelers say that they saw the tracks of his paws in the sand and, following them, got out of the Plateau of the red stone unharmed.
