Melta will help

Every elven family knows an old song about Melta. She was called the "Sister of faces", although she was not a blood sister to anyone. Melta was a healer and a warrior all rolled into one, and her gift was that she could sense any elven soul from a distance. If a wounded man bled somewhere in the caves, Melta went to him-through mountains, through rivers, even through human camps. She never wore weapons, only masks — there were exactly as many of them as there are emotions in elves, in order to take the right expression at the right moment and calm the dying.
The elf was killed by people: she was surrounded in a gorge when she was carrying a child in her arms. Melta did not resist, she just took off the masks and threw them at the feet of the killers, saying, "Now you will not see any of my face." After the massacre, her body was burned, and the masks remained lying on the stones until the elves took them away.
Despite his death, Melta remained a symbol of hope for the elves. They hang masks on tree branches, light candles and whisper: "Melta, sister, we are lost, show us your face, help us." And, strangely, sometimes the mask turns to the one who asked for help. Even in calm weather.
