Quick as a Beak!

A girl named Arlene can't find a tavern where she could work. Although she claims to be a very experienced and skillful cook, because she happened to work in the most unusual and mystical kitchen in the whole Sphere and beyond — Argont kitchen.

Everything was unusual on it: the vegetables were too big, the knives were too sharp, as if they were cutting the universe itself. And an oven with a heat that allows you to bake bread in seconds.
And there was an unusual courier in this kitchen. He was very similar to the rooster we were used to, but with an unusual tail. And his name was Beak.

A courier delivered flour from another city, live fish that was still splashing in a bag, and sometimes bags of stardust. If the recipe called for the freshest eggs by dawn, the rooster appeared exactly one minute before the first ray. He was late only once — when he was intercepted by a neighbor's cat. Arlene then had to replace chicken eggs with lark eggs. The dish was called "Morning without a courier," and it became a hit.

According to Arlene, Beak died of old age, dropping the last order — a truffle that cost more than the capital of Ericuria. They say the truffle was buried with him. Mushrooms with small beaks still grow on the grave.
