A cry of vengeance

No enemy of the Skirds has ever seen this banner twice. It could only be seen when it was lifted. And they were already lowered into the ground on the burned territory of the enemy.

The banner was kept in a separate caravan, and only the leader had the right to touch it. The reason for the rise was the murder of a fellow tribesman. But not in battle, because the Stacks appreciated death in a duel. The banner was raised if a fellow tribesman was killed from an ambush, poisoned or betrayed. The whole steppe froze when the Cry of revenge developed over it. And all the stacks were going on a righteous campaign.

The history of the banner ended on the last day of the Stacks. Their leader raised a banner and set it up in the ruins of the fortress of Ericuria. This major conquest campaign was supposed to end with the banner being installed over the capital. But it is not so easy to break Ericuria, and the tribe paid for its existence for the destroyed fortress. And the Cry of revenge really turned out to be in the capital of the kingdom. In the hall dedicated to the conquered tribes.
