The legend of the rogooses

In the annals of Ericuria, this beast is not mentioned — they preferred not to write about what they were afraid of. Steppe rogos reaches the size of a small house. His skin is impenetrable for arrows, and his running speed at a short distance is higher than a horse's. The first Ericurians who went to the steppes called it a "walking fortress" and bypassed it.
 
But the local Skird tribe had a strange connection with these animals. The Rogos did not attack their camps, although they smashed any other people's carts into splinters. Those stacks that collaborated with Ericuria claimed that the animals smell "their own". One of the merchants, who survived the attack of the Rogos, said that the animals trampled a dozen royal spearmen, but bypassed the wicker caravan with the coat of arms of the tribe.
 
But the rogooses were calm animals that didn't attack anyone just like that. On the day when the tribe went to Ericuria, the animals disappeared. Scouts reported that huge silhouettes went to the east, to the lands where the royal expeditions did not reach. The ancestor of Agvar Thistle, who held the post of chief magician of the kingdom, then said: "The animals have left the owners. So Ag'haldr has turned his back on them." And after that, the tribe was really defeated in three weeks.
