The Keeper's Helmet

In the tavern of the Hell's Song, Daren sadly remembers his friend Malik. Together with him, in the Irman library, after a fight with a book golem, they found an ancient helmet from which magic scrolls stuck out instead of spikes. Malik hoped that the artifact could be sold more expensive, because the scrolls clearly stored ancient spells, so he decided to pick it up.
 
But when the demon put on the ancient artifact, his eyes glowed parchment yellow. The scrolls whispered the rules of the library, and Malik suddenly understood the language of the local folios. Daren shouted for his friend to take off his helmet, but he just smiled strangely. It's like he's not Malik anymore, but something else.
 
Daren never forgave himself. He regrets sitting here in the tavern. And his friend Malik is guarding the ancient repository of demon knowledge. He is not cursed or dead, but simply became part of the repository of knowledge.
