Pune is the helper of Spring

Among the roots of ancient trees, in underground storerooms lives a tiny but incredibly brave creature — Puna. From the outside, it can be mistaken for an ordinary field mouse, but it is she who is responsible for spring finally defeating winter.

Poona is armed with half a pair of magic scissors and a needle. Legend has it that once Spring itself cut off the icy scythes of Winter with these scissors to free the earth. The blade broke in a fierce fight, and Poona found one half of it. With a needle, Spring sewed Winter to the northern limits so that she would not dare to return ahead of time.

With half a pair of scissors, Poona cuts the web that has entangled the sprout, cuts the shackles from last year's grass and cuts off everything that has become obsolete, which prevents a new life. And with her magic needle, she sews the first rays of heat to the ground, fixing the awakening.

Poona is a humble but tireless worker of rebirth. Without it, the forest would never have been so well-groomed and ready for the next summer.
