The last hearth

At the very edge of the northern lands of the Sphere, where the breath of winter becomes eternal, once lived a powerful sorcerer Ryut. He devoted his life to studying the very essence of the cold, although he hated it with all his soul. To protect himself from the elements, he erected a crystal sphere — a perfect glass cocoon, inside which his warm and cozy home was hidden. From there he watched the blizzards, only occasionally going out into the icy world for his dangerous research.

But one night the peace was disturbed. A squad of demons swooped down on the fragile shelter. The sorcerer fought back desperately and fiercely, but the forces were not equal. Wounded, realizing that he would not be able to resist for long, Ryut performed the last spell. He sealed both himself and his killers tightly inside his own creation, turning the shelter into a trap and a crypt at the same time.

Since then, the glass sphere, which once shone as a beacon of hope and knowledge, has been a black and silent tomb. No one knows what's going on behind her frosted, frost-covered glasses. The lights in the house went out many years ago. There are terrible rumors that the sorcerer could not or did not want to die in his ice sarcophagus. They say that he, distraught with pain, loneliness and dark magic, continues his experiments — already on those who came to kill him.
