Beware of mabuni!

Far to the south, on the Dakiru Islands, you can find unusual birds. Locals call them Mabuni. These majestic birds are not able to fly, but they can run fast. When they began to be imported to the continent, the Mabuni quickly began to displace the horses familiar to many due to their speed.
 
The fleet-footed birds could have completely supplanted the ungulates if one of the Mabuni had not accidentally bitten the young heir to the throne of Ericuria. The prince was seriously ill after that and only two years later he was able to fully recover. The king carefully weighed all the risks and as a result banned the import of mabuni to the continent.
 
Today, the bird can only be purchased from smugglers on the black market. You just need to remember that if mabuni bites you, then you can get seriously ill. And the treatment will be very long.
