Dendrik's Stronghold
One of the most famous helmets of people was Dendrik's Stronghold. Legend has it that Dendrik was a great warrior who defeated the mighty demon Berg. In honor of the victory over the enemy, the warrior forged himself a helmet that looked like a tower. But the ancient scrolls remember the true story of Dendrik, and there is nothing heroic about it.
Dendrik was an ordinary mercenary who took on any job. But he couldn't do it, because he was constantly unlucky: either the customer would choke and die, or Dendrik himself would not be able to cope with the task. Because of this, he received the nickname "loser".
However, one day luck smiled on him. At that time, a major battle with demons was about to take place and all warriors were needed, even those like Dendrik. He agreed and even stood in the vanguard. But during the attack, Dendrik got hit on the head and fell to the ground stunned.
When Dendrik came to his senses, he saw that Berg was standing in front of him. The demon masterfully wielded his sword and killed people right and left. But Dendrik was lying behind him. Therefore, he did not lose his head, got up and stabbed Berg in the back.
After the victory, Dendrik received a worthy reward. So that no one else could stun him, he ordered a helmet in the form of a tower — the only one in Ericuria. However, he never tried it on, because he fell off his horse and broke his neck.
People tried to forget about such a ridiculous death and killing a demon in the back, so they composed a legend about Dendrik, who was a great warrior. His helmet, which he never put on, was placed on the warrior's grave as a symbol of his valor and honor.
